Scientific reports, political, ethical, moral, and religious viewpoints, and stem cell news regarding Adult Stem Cell Research (ASCR), aka Non-embryonic Stem Cell Research (NSCR), and Embryonic Stem Cell Research (ESCR) are explored on the web site http://www.stemcellnews.net .
Presently there are approximately 100 pages on this web site. There should be over 200 pages by the end of summer (2005). There is much work to be done by us at stemcellnews.net because there is a continuing flood of research in the fields of cell biology, cell function, and cell structure.
This is good news for you and me. Whether our bodies evolved or were created, they struggle today in a world that is severely overburdened by stresses of environment and lifestyle that our cells cannot cope with without deliberate, consistent, persistent interventive measures. We are each responsible for learning what we can and doing what we know to tend to our personal Gardens of Eden (gardens of eating?), and good scientists can help us.............(Continue below.) .......st

Even if air-, water-, and food-borne toxins were no greater today than a hundred years ago, our plant and animal food sources are significantly inferior to those of the time before herbicides, pesticides, and hormones were added to the food chain for the sake of marketing.
And even if our plant and animal food sources contained all the nutrients that Nature originally made available in soil, nutrients long ago stripped from the soil by government subsidized destructive farming methods, the environmental stresses that bombard our bodies, organs, tissues and cells are too great for unsupplemented diets to overcome.
Diets that are not supplemented are not sufficient. Many sources have told us that, including the U.S. Senate as long ago as 1936. And in 1994, our Congress recognized that scientific research has established a connection between nutrition and many disease conditions.
Stem cells are manufactured by our bodies in lesser quantities when our food contains lesser nutritive value, according to new research results. Computer users have said it for years; "Garbage In, Garbage Out".
There is very good reason to believe that a great majority of diseases result from nutrient deficiency. Even many genetic conditions have been helped by changed, improved, and supplemented diets. Prescription medicines don't do that. Physicians know mostly about drugs. Hence, most doctors do not know of the value of supporting the structure and function of cells with the tiny nutritive "parts" our bodies were designed to need to continually renew themselves. The body can heal itself. In fact, only the body can heal itself. The body needs stem cells to renew and repair, and the cells that could produce new stem cells need nutrition. Simple, isn't it?
Additionally, on this web site, besides recent stem cell news, you will find quite a few arguments made by all sides of the heated political debate over embryonic stem cell research versus adult stem cell research, which includes umbilical cord blood stem cell research.
And until people learn that it is practical to become farmers of their own crops of new stem cells, there are medical procedures - adult stem cell transplantations - which have improved the health conditions of many people.
